We open up with a recap of the ECW Championship match from Summerslam. The actual match lasted about 7 seconds as Christian attacked Regal from behind while he was de-robing and hit the Killswitch. Then Jackson, Kozlov, and Regal beat the hell out of Christian again and stood over him with their hands held high showing that there is a new force to be reckoned with in ECW.
First out is the group mentioned previously. Regal the only one not in ring attire and in a suit. Stryker calls the group “The Tormenters” and when they get there, of course, Regal takes the mic. He says ECW will never be the same again and explains how Zeke and Kozlov were playing the “Anything you can do I can do better” game, Which we already knew. He then goes on to insult the fans for thinking that those two would feud and basically said its his own doing that the 3 are now united and against ECW.
He then goes onto call out Christian and says the countdown clock on his championship reign has now hit zero. As he goes to continue Christians music hits and the crowd erupts as the ECW Champ walks out onto the stage. He goes on to remind Regal of the “Record Setting” 8 second match. Regal goes to talk numerous times and Christian keeps interrupting him by saying “Eight Seconds” every time he goes to talk. Pretty humorous but nothing special. Regal then says that if he doesn’t get a rematch, The three will make sure he regrets ever winning the title.
Christian then goes on to call Regal Bill. He asks if he minds if he calls him that, Of course Regal says he does. Then he says its for commoners and to call him William. The crowd chants “Bill” and Christian continues to call him Bill. Christian then says he wants to defend the belt against someone who he didn’t beat in 8 seconds. Tiffany then comes out to Torrie Wilsons old theme, For whatever reason, and she says that if William Regal wants a title shot at Breaking Point, Regal will have to beat Christian in a non title match to earn the title shot. Decent opening segment and set up the main event well.
Nice video package showing Sheamus and Goldusts nice little feud over the last few weeks. Up next these two will be in action apparently.
COMMERCIAL BREAK!
Back from commercial and Sheamus’ AWESOME theme is playing over the speakers and out walks the “Celtic Warrior” looking as pale as ever..
SHATTERED DREAMS PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS!!!
GOLDUST!!
Goldust v Sheamus
Out comes his opponent and heres hoping the two can have as good of a match tonight as they have been the last few weeks. Goldust seems all business tonight and the two lockup right away and exchange momentum several times. Both landing some good offense in the beginning and Goldust seemingly taking early control until Sheamus reverses a side headlock into a nice back suplex and takes control of the match and works a nice heel ground game. Headlocks and ground work and when Goldust fights to his feet, right back down to the ground game and working it well.
Goldust gets the advantage back and nails some solid offense in including a clothesline and a power slam. He nails a Flatliner and gets a close 2 count. Props to Matt Stryker for ACTUALLY calling the Flatliner by its name. Sheamus goes to the outside to the floor and goads Goldust to him and pulls dust to the outside where the two exchange offense back and forth. The two battle on as the ref counts reaches 10. The match is called a no contest due to a Double Countout!

Match Review
Plenty too short and with a faux ending like that it is pretty lame. But honestly it did the job and both superstars looked strong.
Commercial Break as the two stare each other down
We come to Shelton Benjamin and The Bella Twins in the backstage. Bella twins want Shelton to do a Louie Armstrong impersonation. Shelton does a DAMN good one and then Zach Ryder comes walking up and him and Shelton jabber back and forth. Tiffany comes up and tells Ryder to prepare for his tag match against Yoshi Tatsu and Tyler Reks. When Ryder asks who his partner is, Of course, Its Shelton Benjamin.
Back to ringside and they show clips from Hurricane v Burchill from last week and they hype a match between both of them on Superstars. Good to see Hurricane Helms back on television and not a reporter. We go backstage to the new interviewer who is interviewing Paul Burchill. And DAMN does Katie Lea look good. He tells the new interviewer she should go around dressing up like Wonder Woman like the former interviewer. He goes on to say that people need to cut the hurricane crap and call him Gregory Helms.
We see Regal, Kozlov, and Jackson talking together in a corridor, Then we get ANOTHER commercial break!! This one hyper CM Punk v Jeff Hardy on Smackdown in a Steel Cage match for the World Heavyweight Championship. GO PUNK!!
Aint No Stoppin Me Now! Back with Shelton Benjamin making his way to the ring to team with Zach Ryder, OH RADIO TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU KNOW, to take on Yoshi Tatsu and Tyler Reks. Bout time Reks had a good opponents and always nice to see SNES Yoshi! By the way they both came out to Yoshis music, and they had a little video clip where they both talked. It was lame, Reks isn’t funny, Lets get to some wrestling.
Yoshi Tatsu and Tyler Reks v Zach Ryder and Shelton Benjamin
Reks and Benjamin start the match off whole Ryder disses Shelton when he goes to give him “daps” before the match starts. Shelton utilizes his ground work quickly and is the smaller between the two as Reks is a decently big guy. The two exchange a close quick roll ups and offense exchanges back and forth. Shelton gets the upper hand in the long run and he goes to tag in Ryder who ignores the tag while fixing his pants and causes Shelton to almost lose by a school boy. Reks gains some decent offense before Ryder tags himself in and brutalizes Tyler Reks with some constant offense. Its obvious this match is all about furthering the feud between Shelton and Ryder,
Ryder goes to tag in Shelton without bringing over the fallen Tyler Reks with him. This leaves Shelton coming in as well as a fresh Yoshi Tatsu. Yoshi gains the offense and eventually finds himself on the top rope but Shelton throws him off and then he goes to do something before Ryder starts yelling at him. Shelton tags Ryder in and pulls him over the top rope into the ring and the two jaw off to each other before Shelton gets lunged out of the ring by Zach as Yoshi gets pushed into him. Zach Ryder then goes for the Zach Attack and Yoshi lands that kick to the skull and lights out. Yoshi picks up the win for his team!

Match Review
Too short for a tag match, Very little action and too focused on Shelton and Ryders feud.
After the match Shelton Benjamin comes back in the ring and hits Pay Dirt on Ryder leaving him laid out in the middle of the ring as he goes to the back with a smirk on his face. Holy face push batman!!
Commercial Break, Main Event upcoming. We get a stupid montage of Summerslam for the fifth time. Then we get one of the Summerslam Axxess and all the money they raised for cancer benefit with the help of celebrities. Im sick of seeing this..
Back with the main event and one of the best themes in wrestling, William Regals. The three “Tormentors” are out and looking impressive as they await the ECW World Champion. Christian is out and the match is about to get underway
Christian v William Regal
The match is a solid back and forth contest for the first few minutes with Christian getting the upper hand several times. Eventually he has Regal on the outside and delivers a drop kick through the ropes as his two cronies circle around him. He goes to launch over the ropes and the two stand in front of Regal to block him. Christian hesitates and lands on the outside apron and doesn’t strike any of them
Commercial Break
Back and William Regal is in complete control of the match. Christian barely makes a ten count back into the ring and when he does Regal showing off his impressive ground work playing a perfect heel. Christian finally battles back into the match and nails some solid forearms and a running shoulder block before Regal gains the advantage back and gets a few close calls. Regal sets Christian up on the top rope and he fights back and nails a flying cross body.
The end sequence shows Christian with the upper hand and he goes to the outside to throw Regal back in and he nails Kozlov while he is standing there. This causes Ezekial Jackson to get on the apron to argue with the ref and Christian goes for the KillSwitch and Regal reverses that into throwing Christian into the ropes where Kozlov head butts Christian right in the gut causing him to lean over towards the middle of the ring where Regal nails the running knee to the head and picks up the victory and a title shot!

Match Review
Solid main event, WAY too many botches from these two for all the years of experience they have in the ring. I didn’t like the sloppiness it seemed they had.. I hope this improves as we get to see them again at Breaking Point.
Show Grade
C-
Too little matches and the matches that WERE on weren’t that impressive. Leaves me wondering whats going on with ECW.. Not the worst show they have had but nowhere near the best.
Stay Blazin!
